For example: When you next have a meal sit down and SAVOUR it - without the addition of screen time! Notice the colours, textures, smells, the shapes, the sounds (yep, when you put your ear to some foods they will make a sound), and then bring the food into your mouth. Chew your food (sounds simple yet so many people under chew their food), move it around and let it linger in your mouth for a moment, before finally swallowing and dialling in to the tastes present.
Of course you don’t need to do this with every single meal you consume, but even occasionally introducing mindful eating will bring a whole new experience to meal time. Plus you will be much more likely to choose healthier food options and less likely to overeat - it’s a win-win!
