Some choose to nurture it, others choose to neglect it. The more we invest in our mental fitness, the better we are able to cope with life and all that it throws at us.
Similarly to the fact that going to the gym every day for a week won't make you instantly fit and healthy, nor will practicing mental fitness training for a week make you mentally resilient.
