Kelly AbrahamI got in contact with Mick at Kudos Health from a Facebook post about wanting to lose 12kg in August 2016. I thought to myself I really need to lose 12+ kilos so I made contact.
From the start Mick was always pleasant and listened to all our concerns of injury etc. I had just had a baby in May 2016 and gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy. I was very concerned about trying any fitness group as I had to take my baby as I’m a single mum and had a c-section. Mick was fantastic with all the ladies concerns about injuries and would always offer alternative exercises that each person could do with their injury in mind. I was busy being busy but Mick always checked my progress on our weekly trackers and we’d have a chat if I slackened off. He’d offer solutions and keep me in check, which is what I needed. At the work out sessions I’d try take the easy options and Mick knew I could do more and pushed me. I needed this. I needed to be pushed outside my comfort zone to get the results I desired. My progress was slower than I wanted but what effort I put in is what I got out of it. I’ve now lost all my baby weight and am now below my pre pregnancy weight. As my daughter grew out of sitting in the pram I asked Mick if I could bring a port a cot. My daughter would sit in the cot playing with her toys watching us and cheering us on in her own way. She loved the music and the attention the ladies and Mick gave her every week. I have gained some amazing friends throughout the process and will never forget the patience Mick gave me with have a baby in tow. Thanks for all you’ve done in helping my push myself harder Mick and achieving more – I’ve now lost 11.4kg! Kelly Abraham |
