Karen CuthbertsonI’ve always attempted the fad diets and fallen in & out of the next fitness craze. In February 2017, I decided to really get serious about my weight loss after not being able to squeeze into my work clothes and not wanting to go up yet another size in my jeans. To add to this my doctor said if you want to stop your knees from hurting you need to lose weight as you are overweight. Me overweight? Really? When did that happen?
With my busy work life, hectic lifestyle and family commitments I had managed to pile on the weight without even realising. I noticed I wasn’t happy with my size in photos and when I weighed myself the numbers were higher than I have seen them before. I couldn’t believe it. Mick was on my case to come back & to join the K12 program. I started in February and in the first week following his nutritional guidelines and attending Boot Camp I managed to start shedding the weight straight away. I had lost 4 kgs before my first fitness assessment. Mick is always there to keep the Krew on track and get us back into gear. It also helps that I train with a top bunch of ladies that keep each other motivated. I’m making better choices with food, consuming a lot less sugar and carbs and feeling so much better. The best news is I’m stronger, and I’ve now lost 16kgs and smashed my first goals which were “ 1) to lose a hopeful 8 kgs 2) Increase fitness level 3) Change eating habits”. Glad to say I smashed them all! I keep setting new goals, and I’m driven to achieve them. Karen Cuthbertson |
