I recently attended the LIFTED mental fitness workshop with Mick from Kudos Health and would like to express my gratitude.
I have never attended a “group” mental wellbeing workshop before and I felt a bit anxious about going, however having known Mick for several years through Bootcamp sessions I trusted I would be in safe hands.
It was great!
Mick provided a relaxed space that I felt comfortable in to absorb the presentation. His practical strategies on how to stress less were both reminders as well as “aha” moments for me. He made it interesting and easy to take in.
In recent years, I have had a feeling of being overwhelmed with the fullness of my life. The LIFTED workshop reminded me to be grateful and mindful, to take notice of the little things that make me happy - I had forgotten this (DIS)!
My “aha” moment was learning how to interrupt my automatic thoughts and behaviours. To be conscious of the impact of negative self talk and to try and generate language or thoughts that bring more peace.
The LIFTED workshop has provided me with the tools to check in with my mental health on a daily basis. I think that this workshop is a valuable investment for anyone looking to take better care of their mental and physical health.
